POEMA

VIAJE AL CENTRO DE LA TIERRA

Daniel Ripoll*

Si quedara ciego,
Con sólo acariciarte,
Te reconocería.
Hay proporciones de belleza,
Que son forma y no cultura,
Y vibran como aromas
De lo claro y esencial.

Comprender tu laberíntico secreto
Me ha llevado tiempo,
Tuve que educar el tacto
Y entrenar las manos.
Pero hoy ya soy capaz
De recorrer a tientas tus senderos,
Los bosques y los tibios manantiales
Que indican y sugieren
El punto exacto
Que lleva al centro de la Tierra.

A Journey to the Center of the Earth

If I suddenly went blind,
With only fondling,
I could recognize you.
There are proportions of beauty,
Just shapes not culture,
That vibrate
of the clean and essential.

To understand your laberynthic secret
 Has taken me time,
I had to train muy touch.
 And teach my hands.
But now, even blindfolded,
I can go along all your paths
The woods and warm streams
That lead up to and suggest
 the right point

That takes to the accurate Center of the Earth.
